Love Dachshunds? Enjoy highlights From Wienerfest
Wienerfest Home County Festival is one of the largest breed specific fundraising events in Canada (almost 8,000 attendees). It operates under the umbrella of Tiny Paws Dog Rescue and Helping Homeless Pets to help rescue dogs in need like Blue below. It is set in beautiful farmland in Ontario a few hours west of Toronto.
We love Wieners AKA Dachshunds as they are a smart, fun, loyal, cute looking breed of dog. If you are thinking of bringing a Dachshund into your family, read about them in our breed library and talk to people who have them.
Each year thousands flock to beautiful Embro, Ontario for a day of fun for the whole family including the dog!
There are over 100 vendors to shop at and games all day for your pet to participate in. So much to see and do. I had a great time.

We got to meet adorable Crusoe the Celebrity Dachshund and Oakley. We follow Crusoe’s travels and viral videos so we were thrilled to see him in real life. We loved meeting his parents/managers and grandparents too.
Kilo the rescue Pug would have been too stressed with the 2-hour drive each way and all the crowds, but he wanted to support other rescues so he was there in spirit.
We also saw Arthur, Ladybug and Blue, who are all Talent Hounds Celebrities.
