Thankful Thursday Tribute to Amazing Service Dogs

We are so Thankful to have to have Met So Many Talented Service and Therapy Dogs and People while filming the Talent Hounds Documentary:

These  amazing heroes included dogs from the Lions Foundation/ Dog Guides Canada and the National Service Dogs (NSD) dedicated to enriching the quality of life of children, individuals and families living with special needs. For many, these amazing canines are invaluable companions. They can help increase independence and safety and reduce anxiety. In children they can enhance learning abilities, improve sleep habits and reduce behavioral outbursts. Service dogs also encourage and teach responsibility  and give individuals more freedom in life. Talent Hounds wants to pay tribute to these amazing dogs everywhere.

NSD Chester

Talent Hounds showcased the inspiring story of the Carefoot family and NSD Chester. Chester has brought freedom, harmony and many of the other benefits above to six year old Max living with Autism. NSD Chester is a true success of the National Service Dogs and a “healing balm” to the Carefoot family.

Dog Guides Titan and Jasper

The Talent Hounds film also showcased the stories of Dog Guides Titan and Jasper. Jasper has gaven his owner Beverley  freedom and has become her eyes and support. Titan works as a special skills dog and provides his owner Jim, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, safety, companionship and help in everyday life. Watch the inspiring video of these two stories

We were fortunate to attend the Lions’s Foundation Purina Walk for Dog Guides at PawsWay in Toronto last week. Individuals and canines came out to to show support, raising awareness and money. It was a great day full of inspiring stories. To see our Hot Diggity video click HERE!

Dog Guides Canada has recently expanded training programs to include Hearing Ear, Special Skills, Seizure Response, Autism Assistance, and soon to be introduced, Diabetic Alert Dog Guides.
