RUFFSPORT
RUFFSPORT is a full dog services and event company. They are located 15 minutes north of Toronto on a 47 acre dog facility in the beautiful community of Schomberg, Ontario. They offer everything from an amazing board and train program, private/group classes, dock jumping, disc classes and therapy dog training. The RuffSport team can also be found at many fairs and events in Canada under the brand names Fast N Furry and Aqua Dogs. Fast N Furry is best known for its high-speed agility and amazing trick show and Aqua Dogs is a Dock Jumping competitive series which was built by competitors for competitors. RUFFSPORT has been named Ontario’s Leading Positive Reinforcement Dog Services Company with over 10 years of training experience.
Lead trainer and president, Heather McLeod, has been training all breeds of dogs for over ten years. She attended one of the best agility training facilities in North America—Say Yes Dog Training and is consider one Ontario’s top behavior trainers.
She believes in always being positive but not being permissive. A trainer should focus on shaping behaviours, rewarding the correct choices and knowing when and where to reward. This includes relationship building and fostering a desire to play!
