JAX dares you NOT to fall in love with him! But with those huge amber eyes, that inviting grin and that small body bristling with energy, he’s impossible to resist. Although he’s nearly 3, he’s still a puppy at heart, playful, enthusiastic and ever so smart. He wants to please and responds instantly to praise by being even more agreeable. As if that’s possible! He runs happily through his fosters’ house, hiding his favorite toys in his favorite corners, then pulling them back out and playing with them again. If he chews on a slipper or a telephone cord, he’ll gladly trade either one for a bone or chew toy. A true “people” dog, Jax loves meeting new people and new dogs, carefully avoiding any confrontations with them. He gets along well with older children, but hasn’t yet made up his mind about cats. In the evenings he goes next door to play ball with his best friend, Kaya, a large Bernese Mountain Dog mix. Deliciously affectionate, one of Jax’s greatest joys is spending quality cuddle time with his foster mom, especially at night. Although he still grows anxious when she leaves the house in the morning, he’s improved greatly in a very short time. As an eager and active young dog, Jax would be an ideal addition to any family – especially a young and active one. With his entire life ahead of him, what he needs more of is what he loves most: loving people. Forever.
