Join us as we fight back against cancer with our four legged loved ones!
On Saturday, October 5th, 2013 friends, families and four-legged loved ones are invited to take part in the second annual Bark For Life Durham Region! The Canadian Cancer Society is so grateful to all those that attended in 2012 and we are looking forward to another fantastic event this year!

Bark For Life presents a special and unique opportunity for participants to celebrate their canine companions while contributing to the Canadian Cancer Society’s efforts to eradicate cancer and ease the burden of those facing the disease. Bark For Life is a fun walk event for dogs and their owners to raise funds and awareness for the Canadian Cancer Society. This is a fundraising event that will be supported through individual donations collected by registered event participants and their dog friends.

We encourage each participant to strive to raise a minimum of $150 to help support leading-edge cancer research, offer reliable information, provide community support services for those living with cancer and advocate for healthy public policy. All registered participants will receive a bandana for their dog.

This fun, family friendly event has something for everyone, even if you don’t own a dog! Enjoy a 2.5K to 5K walk along the Heydenshore trail, show off your dog’s mad skills in a variety of dog contests, family photo with you and your two and four-legged loved ones, take a stroll through vendor row and check out dog-centric products and services, face painting for our human friends and the list goes on!

For anyone who’s life has been touched by cancer, this event is an enjoyable way to partner with your canine best friend to have fun, make new friends and fight cancer!
