Rescue Organizations and Adoptables at the Pop Up Adopt Shop
We had a great afternoon at Purina PawsWay’s Pop Up Adopt Shop Event last Saturday meeting some adorable adoptable dogs and some great volunteers from Rescue Organizations and Google Canada.
Several local rescues gathered for this second annual adoption event of its kind at PawsWay to build awareness and introduce deserving dogs needing homes to potential families. Just to be clear, you could not go home with a dog but you could apply to adopt some of the gorgeous ones present.
TEAM Dog Rescue
T.E.A.M. stands for Together Every Animal Matters! TEAM Dog Rescue provides a safe haven for dogs while they wait for their “furever” homes through fosters.
Their focus is to rescue dogs from high kill shelters in Ontario and Quebec as well as partner with the IFAW Northern Dog Project
They had Loki and this gorgeous husky Sydney. Loki must have been adopted as he is no longer on the site.
Canine Haven
A small scale dog rescue located in Ontario that is non-profit, volunteer-run, and foster home based. They specialize in rescuing and rehoming dogs both locally and from abroad.
They had a beautiful large rather tired deaf dog Heidi who is now pending adoption.
And a handsome shy tri-pawd Balou who is pending adoption from the day (hopefully the lovely young couple I met) plus the sweetie below.

Safehome Animal Rescue
Although most of their work takes place in North America, Safehome are ambitiously but slowly embarking on a global campaign that will help animals across the world.
Due to the cultural differences and current economic downturns in many other countries, they are aware of terrible injustices that are taking place to animals and have aligned forces with some very caring rescuers globally whose values and ambitions match their own mission.
Save Me Dog Rescue
Save Me Rescue is a registered charity dedicated to rescuing homeless and abandoned dogs from high-kill shelters and owners who can no longer care for them. We also serve as a resource to our community and all pet owners by providing education and information on responsible pet ownership, including the importance of spay/neuter, positive behaviour training and good nutrition.
