Thanksgiving with the Ultimutts

We love the Ultimutts Stunt Dog Show! It’s a unique circus style show is jam packed with non-stop incredible tricks to wow the audience and keep them on the edge of their seats. Comprised of rescued animals, these dogs love to work and perform –and it shows!
HBSPCA Junior Humane Program
6:00 pm to 7:15 pm

Benefiting: Children & Families
Junior Humane is a great way for children to start learning about the SPCA and animal care in a fun and educational setting. There are three different exciting sessions for each age group, allowing children to get more in depth knowledge of all the animals we help at the SPCA. Enjoy animal interaction, guest speakers, guest animals, crafts, movies, and games – what a great way to learn!
The focus is always on teaching respect and compassion for all living things. Children learn practical pet knowledge and ownership responsibility.
Session details: Ages 7-9: Meet Wednesday nights from 6:00-7:15pm Fall 2015: Oct. 14th – Nov. 18th
Monthly Movie Matinee
3:00 pm to 5:00pm
Admission: Free
Watch a classic pet-themed movie in the Pawsway Pet Park. All are welcome, with or without pets!
Puppy Kindergarten
10:00am to 11:00am
Admission: $149 + hst
Puppy Kindergarten is a fun and interactive way to introduce puppies and owners to basic training. Starting early with fun and rewarding positive motivational training helps teach the behavior we want before bad habits have a chance to form. For puppies 8 weeks to 6 months old.
Dog Guru Pet First Aid Course
10:00am to 6:00pm
Admission: $195-215 + hst
Pet First Aid Certification Course is a veterinarian approved certificate recommended for all Pet Lovers, yet is comprehensive enough to provide Pet Care Professionals the needed tools to safely care for other people’s pets, and to know what to do, should a pet be ill or injured. Recognize and manage all types of injuries, emergencies, rescue breathing, CPR and bandaging.
K9 Manners Level 1 Course
6:30pm to 7:30pm
Admission: $200 + hst
This 5-week course is designed to teach your canine companion basic manners and obedience skills such as heeling with a loose leash, sit, down, stay, come and recall. All skills will be taught using positive reinforcement. Each class includes the opportunity to ask our expert trainer questions, and the curriculum is flexible to ensure all teams are successful.
Off Leash Safety Course
6:30pm to 7:30pm
Admission: $10.75
Learn everything you need to know to keep your dog safe in an Off-Leash environment – whether at PawsWay or outside. Discover invaluable tips on canine body language and how to ensure safe, responsible and fun environment for you and your dog.
This course is mandatory for visitors attending PawsWay’s off leash programs.
Annual Halloween Party at Purina PawsWay
1:30pm to 5:00pm
Admission: Free
Head to Pawsway for a spooky celebration at our howling Halloween party. Games, prizes and family fun for both people and dogs! Bring your camera and take photos of you and your furry friend at our Halloween-themed photo booth. Get creative with the kids at our arts and crafts table. Free drop-in activities will be offered from 1:30pm onward; contests and costume parade will run from 3pm-5pm. Bring your cat or dog in costume for a chance to win a prize!
